42nd Annual Japan Meat Industry Fair 2017 ＜Venue: TOKYO BIG SIGHT＞
In recent years, accompanying the diversification within the industry, and the proliferation of high mix low-volume production, and in response to the expansion of dining out, demand for semi-processed, and processed meat products has remained significant. At the same time, highly discerning customers are demanding the best in food safety and taste. However, whilst responding to these demands, producers are dealing with price rises of raw materials and workforce shortcomings. Making improvements to productivity is currently an important theme.
This event is an integrated showcase of raw materials, products, appliances and machinery. All the latest information, techniques, and products will be on display, as the shared space is dedicated to exploring the production, processing, distribution, and retail related aspects of the meat industry.
In order to keep pace with the sudden changes, it became apparent that a forum to exchange information related to all facets of the food industry was necessary. Ten years ago saw the addition of various specialist trade fairs to the lineup, covering areas such as desserts and sweets, beverages, noodles and so forth. Since then, each year, the seven specialist exhibitions have opened simultaneously, to form what has become Japan's largest commercial foodstuff, ingredient, and utensil fair.
