Shibaura-futo is the second pier established in the Port of Tokyo. The current pier is a newly renovated terminal handling general domestic cargo and can serve as a landing place for relief materials in the case of earthquakes and other disasters.
This abstract pattern represents dewy grass in the morning. The pattern is often used on fusuma (sliding doors) or tenugui (hand towels).
The grass depicted here is a wild grass proper to Japan, not a western variety used in sporting grounds.
