Crabs and wave lines

This pattern has wavy stripes and peony-looking crabs. Other peony-and-crab patterns often show an actual shape of crab but this design allows a visual pun in a more subtle way.
It is assumed that the peony, a symbol of wealth, was combined with the crab, a charm against evils, to make it more auspicious.
